Can you try a wired test to confirm it is the wireless that is causing the issue.

Thankyou, but i cant easily test a wired connection without moving alot of things, as the main (and only) telephone socket comes into the front of our house in our bedroom, whee as out pc is in a back bedroom and my ps3 is downstairs.
Would it be advisable to update the firmware on my thomson router?? as its a year old.
Also i have a 5-6 year old netgear router, would it be worth me trying that instead??? would the speeds of that my comparable ?
Thanks Mark

Hi fergusont20,
Did you manage to try the Netgear router or a wired test.
Everything on your line appears to be fine after inspecting it.
