Hi all,
My broadband connection just reset about 40 mins ago.
Reconnected at 6900 but now downloads have gone from 5.3 meg to 0.23 meg!!
The upload speed was not affected.
The SNR was 6.1dB which is about normal.
Any ideas?
Just popping out so I've disconnected the router and ADSL cable. Phone line works fine with no crackles.
Can someone have a look at my connection and also advise if capling my upload speed will increase my downloads?

Hi Damian78,
I'm sorry to hear of the issues that you're having here.
I'd be more than happy to take a look at your line, however as it's now disconnected, I won't be able to test your line. Once you've reconnected it, if you could let us know, and we'll take a look for you.

I've just checked your line over and can see that you've reconnected at speeds of 6937 which seems fine for your line.
Your speed profile is set correctly too. Can you please visit http://speedtest.btwholesale.com and run the initial speed test followed by 'Further Diagnostics'?
This will give us a good indication of where the fault may lay.

The connection looks fine, you can lose quite a lot of speed via Wireless.
It's always a good idea to try with an Ethernet on a PC/Laptop/Mac to see how your line is operating.
