Double ADSL filtering - does it matter?

I have just installed an interstitial ADSL filter plate at the Master Socket.  So all my extensions are filtered without need to add an ADSL filter at each socket.
However, I forgot to initially remove the additional ADSL filters and the phones work just fine.  Anyone know if this is likely to cause any unexpected issue or whether it just might further prevent extraneous noise getting back down to the ADSL line?  I am kind of plumping for the latter and thinking I'll leave them in place unless I get any call quality issues but call quality is just peachy.  One is behind a screwed down panel, so its not 100% straightforward to remove it and if its doing no harm, I'd rather leave it be.

It won't be doing any harm and may do some good - we sometimes recommend double filtering DECT phones.

Re: Double ADSL filtering - does it matter?

when I got fttc'd (new built in filter plate) I put the adsl filters back on both the phone and used extension lines because things like sky and phone were causing issues, now with the filters back on things are working as there meant to (using phone or skybox making its daily call doesn't cause problems with the internet)
just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Re: Double ADSL filtering - does it matter?

The only 'problem' I've ever encountered with double-filtering is that it can stop caller display from working on some phones.
