Don't want to keep customers

I rang today to get a better deal on my broadband after being with PlusNet for over 13 years and the best they could come up with after nearly an hour on the phone is a lousy £5 discount. It pays to leave and come back again because you get a better deal plus £50 cash back.

Re: Don't want to keep customers

Well there's the reason to be brutal, that thirteen plus years.

Loyalty does not always work both ways between customer and company - not in my experience anyway. They are more likely to lose a newer customer where the churn rate is a lot higher than an older one.

Life can be like a game of cards at times and you may have to call their bluff.

Ah yes, that line phone rental tied in yet 'separate' from your broadband charge. The quicker to consign that con to the bin the better.

At least when they take your money plusnet are nice about it!

Re: Don't want to keep customers

The trouble is, it probably wouldn't work to have all customers permanently paying the new customer prices. They'd make a loss on every customer, but they'd somehow make up for that by having lots of loyal customers?

Indeed ejs, like new lambs to the slaughter.

Y'know, the older I get the more I realise that some things never change, and being conned and manipulated by a smiling provider is one of them.

Never smile at a crocodile, they have more teeth. Thumbs_Up
