I have tried uTorrent on the Mac and PC, on the PC in particular it has been great in the past, now I rarely get over 10kb. I know there are many variables with regards to this, however, I seem to have most of these covered, nothing I do can get the speed back to what it was.
Appreciate any help.

Unless you are on Pro which isn't throttled.
Which package are you on?
Also is uTorrent reporting the port as open?
If it helped click the thumb
If it fixed it click 'This fixed my problem'

You can see the shapping for it here http://www.kitz.co.uk/isp/plusnet_shaping.htm, select unlimited.
So between midnight and midday you should see line speed, have you tried it in these times?

Use port forwarding rather than uPnP and pick a specific port.
I used to prefer Vuze but it got a bit bloated.

Quote I'm a Pro customer and the sites you refer to are limited speed during peak hours
There aren't any rate limits on Pro, however the account you're on, Premium does have restrictions on download sites and servers.
