Dodgy internet

For the past few days I've been getting lots of hanging, extremely slow page loading and often getting the "wepage not vailable" which sometimes rectifies with clicking the "reload page" button but sometimes requires me to disconnect from the internet and then re-connect.
Can anyone advise what it might be, things I might try etc or could a tech look in to this for me please?

As a first try can you post the information requested here http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,96155.0.html also have you changed the DNS settings in the router or on the computer
