Re: Do these stats look normal? (upstream CRC)

What modem/router is it? I remember there was one device which shows some of the upstream / downstream counts the wrong way around.

I don't think there's much to be gained from analysing the stats though - you've already found the problem, the drops linked with the incoming calls.

Setting the mode to ADSL2 may give a small speed improvement, shouldn't be any worse, but won't fix the problem of incoming calls knocking out the Internet.

It's a Huawei, I think it's Thompson you may be thinking of.

Re: Do these stats look normal? (upstream CRC)

Hi.

A connection dropping when the phone is in use can be down to a couple things. It can be caused by an Internal issue or an exchange issue.

If you were to raise a fault to us we would start by ruling out the internal setup. The primary cause is filtering.

Firstly replace the filter you are using if this is a prefiltered faceplate installed on your master socket remove it and use a standard filter in the test socket. Once it connected this way test it by making a call to your land line.

If the connection still drops then report it to the faults team at http://faults.plus.net

I've had this fault logged since 4/11/16 and still no resolution.  Openreach guy replaced faceplate, new pairs and tried something at the exchange.  Still drops on incoming call.  How can I escalate this?  I'm paying for something that doesn't work correctly.

Hi, Zoso.

I have just looked at your fault and can see it is currently in hand with one of my fellow faults advisors. He is working on this at present and I have passed on the information you have provided me.

You will be getting an update call later today to arrange for another engineer visit I'm afraid.
