Disconnections after power cut

Unfortunately someone tripped the circuit breaker at my home this morning, after that my connection has been very temperamental. After the power was restored, I couldn't connect to the internet for about 10 mins (orange light on netgear router), and since then I've been disconnecting very very frequently, connection was stable 24/7 prior to this.
Tried unplugging for 30 seconds etc and no use, just wondering if someone from plusnet can run some quick tests on my line to see if theres anything wrong there but I'm 99% sure the router is messed up (router not plugged in to surge protector). Unfortunately I can't test my theory because I don't have a spare router.

It's clear that there's definitely been an issue since the circuit breaker was tripped this morning:

Tests don't indicate an issue but I would err on the side of the router being the problem but it would be worth proving if possible. I can arrange for a router to be sent out for you as I'm sure our products guys would be interested in getting their hands on your router for testing.

That would be great Adam, thanks for the quicky reply. My router is the WNR1000v3. I may try do a factory reset if it doesn't intefere with anything that your product guys might want to test for although I don't have much hope that it will fix anything.

Go for it - it shouldn't affect a thing (unless it fixes the problem of course Wink )
If you could post back regarding the reset we'll see about getting a replacement out and then one of our projects team should be in touch early next week to arrange a convenient pick up date with you for the old router if that's alright?

Factory reset hasn't changed anything. It's strange though because I don't seem to be disconnecting when I'm just browsing websites, as soon as I fire up a game though, I get disconnects every minute for 5-30 seconds at a time, guess it's something to do with the amount of packets being sent and received.

Ok apparantely a second factory reset for good measure seems to have stopped the problem.. stable for over an hour including gaming.

Hmm, here's hoping the new router gets there soon and sorts this out. Fingers are crossed.
