Both the up and down syncs are slightly lower than before but only by around 100Kbps.

This is a new router (less than a month). Is this a sign of a router problem or something else going wrong?
I have no idea how to interpret the router's Event Log.

The router log looks normal and typical to me - I see such entries every couple of months or so and I read the log as follows:
The router did a warm reboot shortly after 16:40 on Nov 29. It lost the time during the reboot, thus it displays Jan 1 00:00:00. The router has then automatically reconnected - that's all the messages after Jan 1 00:00. At the next time sync, it corrects the time to current. The messages all appear normal to me although I don't fully understand them, nor have I been able to find an easy translation into normal english.
FWIW, PPP is internet and xDSL is broadband, "PPP down" doesn't appear on the Plusnet radius records, xDSL does.
I hope I understood your question, I wasn't trying to give egg sucking lessons.

Any information is helpful and your was appreciated.
I've noticed a few disconnections lately and the only reason I have noticed them is that Yahoo Messenger's main window refreshes, shows me as logged out then logs back in again.
When I look at the DSL Connection and Internet within the Router's pages they have shown no sign of disconnects. My PC is connected by Ethernet.
Yesterday was different in that it affected my wife's PC and laptop as well and they are wireless hence my attempt at deciphering the router logs.
