Dear Plusnet, please can you activate my line?

Router arrived yesterday! very fast delivery. But i really want the internet by sunday, however it says my broadband will activate on the 15th...  Embarrassed i dont want to wait til then! ha
can you activate it early (if that works), either today or tomorrow morning? thanks!  Wink

Your order hasn't completed yet unfortunately, in some cases it may complete before your activation date. As soon as it's completed we'll let you know and you'll be able to connect up.

You could plug the router in and when the broadband light goes green but the internet one is still red phone up to ask for early activation which may get you connected earlier but may not as it depends upon a number of factors outside Plusnet.
Note that this early activation will trigger your contract start date even if you don't have internet access

ok no problem. if i do it saturday, are plusnet able to activate on a saturday?

Not on the forum, but the call centre is a 24/7/365 operation.

Ok so router is on and broadband light is solid green. Internet light is red of course. Can I now be activated please?  Wink

The Digital Care Team who monitor the forums may not be here again until Monday. The CSC can activate your line if you give them a ring on 0800 432 0200 or 0345 140 0200. They are available 24x7.

Hi laburnum5. Your order hasn't fully completed yet but BT have told us that they've completed the work needed for you to get online, so I've activated your account early as requested. However, I can't see any connection attempts from your router. Is it still plugged in and switched on?

hi Rob. yes i managed to get internet over the weekend. the speed has stabilised somewhat. having big problem connecting my wireless G laptop to the N- router though. my wireless-N ps3 is fine however.
there is only 1 modem socket in my flat (on the otherside from my room) but its a small flat with thin walls and should be fine. help me please! it disconnects everytime i use the internet for more than a few minutes. router internet light stays on throughout tho. odd.
