De-queue mail form autoturn

Hi
Mail main server has been of line for a week the runs on my ADSL connection.  When trying the finger command - i get a error.
C:\Documents and Settings\Phil.WINXP2>finger postmaster@autoturn.plus.net
[autoturn.plus.net]
> Finger: read::Connection reset by peer

Any ideas?
Thanks Phil

Re: De-queue mail form autoturn

Phil, you haven't got an autoturn directory on our systems:
==========================================
autoturn-info for 212.159.xxx.xxx:
==========================================
[ * ] no directory or maildir for this IP!

I notice there's a manual record setup on your domain that points to our autoturn servers, however the entry is only created on our systems if your mail delivery is set to SMTP on the portal.
From what I can tell it isn't and instead it's set to 'Other'.

Re: De-queue mail form autoturn

Thanks Bob
Changed to SMTP now - how long will the change need to be applied?
Thanks

Hi Bob
Could you check from your end again - still getting the same error?

Re: De-queue mail form autoturn

Do you know whether you have any emails queued? From memory I thought the  message you are seeing was normal for an empty queue but testing mine at the moment it return my IP address which I can't remember it use to for an empty queue.

Re: De-queue mail form autoturn

Hi
There should not be any but thats why I was asking if Bob could check at PN's end to see if setup - if confirmed is setup, i will test by sending a mail with my MTA off-line.

Re: De-queue mail form autoturn

Unfortunately I can't remember how to check that at the moment, I'll speak to Bob in the morning when I'm back in the office and ask him to check again.
