DSL keeps disconnecting

I have been using one of the infamous BYHomeHub4's and had del disconnects about once a week. They now seem to be increasing.  Not sure if it is a line fault or not. Changed back to the Plusnet router so I will see how things go.  Line has some noise on it especially noticeable when far end speaks.  Quiet line test is ok until the system says "Quiet line test "

if you get any noise at all during a quiet line test no matter when it happens or how long it lasts you have a line fault that needs fixing it has to be 100% silent for the line to be fine, if you ignore it, it will get worse and so will your connection, so get in touch with who ever your landline provider is and tell them you have noise on the line detected by the quiet line test that needs sorting out.

Looks like I will have to raise a fault. 9 disconnects in less than 24hrs. agggggggh

I've run some in depth tests on your line and from our systems, it's not showing a fault on our suppliers side.
To prove that nothing internal is causing this issue, could you please connect your router into your Test Socket with an alternate microfilter?

Router and phone now connected to test socket. Different filter fitted. Had 2 disconnects dialling quiet line test.  Got a buzzing sound for about half a second.

You say you had 2 disconnects dialling the quiet line test.
Does your line just cut out altogether, as in, you have no dial tone at that point?

No the phone line stays on. It is the ADSL that disconnects.  Just after the response quiet line test there is noise which slowly fades but some times there is crackling.  This is the same issue as my previous fault.  I have tried different phones and filters but it is still there.  I have never had a connection more than 9 days but just lately it has got a lot worse.  I do not use the phone much so do not know when the noise came back.

I have changed the filter to a new unused one and it seems better. I will leave every thing connected to the test socket and see how things go.

Chris I am still having problems with my connection.  The line has intermittent noise and my broadband drops out. It does not seem to effect my speed.  It was particular noisy early in the morning with crackling and what sounded like a mains hum.  I believe I have raised a ticket although I was not given a number.
