If you can run through our troubleshooter at http://faults.plus.net we can get this looked into

Re: DSL goes down

We're not denying that there isn't a issue however its imperative that we rule out any internal wiring as being at fault.
The main reasons for this are that firstly the issue will be solved quicker and secondly it covers you when we raise for a engineer visit if necessary
If you are having issues using the troubleshooter then you can always call our Technical Team who can raise this on your behalf.

Re: DSL goes down

Im giving u the authority to raise a fault on my behalf......
the problem is that every 30 mins to an hour the DSL linstate disconnects for like 5 seconds, now surely u have some sort of monitoring system that tells u what my line can handle or what is at fault, surely if im telling u the main problem for why its disconnecting this is just all hassle doinng trouble shooters and a waste of time when im telling u whats wrong.. the dsl is going down, look at ur line monitor check the pattern of disconnections, check whats going on at my profile at the specific times, then either fix it, or change settings to fix it. either way this is all baffle and it needs fixed..

Re: DSL goes down

I think that what PN are saying by "use the fault troubleshooter" is that by ticking the appropriate boxes, you've proven you've taken the steps to do as much as you can as a customer to prove the issue isn't in your property with your internal wiring etc.
That way, if BT Openreach throw a wobbly and try and blame it on someone else and try and raise charges etc, you've proven you've taken all relevant measures to cover yourself.
I could be wrong (I've never had to run the faults procedure myself) but from what I've read on previous threads, this could well be the reason why.
On the plus side, if you have a fault which is nice and repeatable it should be relatively easy to track down the issue. It's the random faults which only occur when the wind is blowing in a certain direction and it's raining and the moon is lined up with Jupiter that are the nightmare ones to sort.
