That reminds me...
...yesterday (Thursday 30th) I was at my parents' house (returning and reconnecting their router) and found that I couldn't browse to certain websites including the bbc ones and the others that I'd had problems with at my flat. Their router is a different make (BT Voyager), their computer(s) are totally different (PCs not Macs); the only thing that was the same was the operator - me.
I didn't have the time to make sure that this was definitely the same problem as I've been experiencing, but it sure felt like it. My parents' haven't been at their house to use their broadband recently to be able to report whether the problem continued.
Please, Plusnet, take my problems seriously.
