DLM not working? My SNR Margin is stuck at 12db

My SNR Margin jumped up to 12db about 2 months ago and has stuck there ever since.
About a month ago, I discovered that the Suppressor on my Tumble Drier was arcing and sparking and I replaced it. However, the SNR Margin refuses to come down. I have been re-syncing at 10 day intervals but to no avail.  Cry

Re: DLM not working? My SNR Margin is stuck at 12db

Hi Wheel_nut,
You seem to have had a good stable connection and bearing in mind you may have discovered the root of the noise issue we could possibly reset the SNR. If we were to do this you would enter a 10 day training period similar to when you were first activated. If you would like me to go ahead with this then let me know.

Hi Joanne,
Thank you for the quick response. Yes, please go ahead and reset the line. I will wait for your confirmation before I re-boot the Router.
Many thanks, R

Hi Wheel_nut,
Your reset has been successful. There's no need for you to reboot, that should be done from this end.

Re: DLM not working? My SNR Margin is stuck at 12db

Thank you Joanne. I am now sync'ed at 7392 Kbps at a SNR Margin of 5.8.
All I need now is for my Profile to be raised to match.
Many thanks for your very prompt actions.

Re: DLM not working? My SNR Margin is stuck at 12db

Hi Wheel_nut,
That's great news, if it stays like that then you should see a 6500 profile, I'll check it later on tonight for you and then in the morning to see if the BT profile has lifted and then I'll set the PN one.

Re: DLM not working? My SNR Margin is stuck at 12db

Hi again Joanne,
My SNR Margin seems to have gone back up to 15db  Sad
The line has not re-sync'ed in over 13 days and surely DLM should have recognised the stability of the line and brought it down to the normal 6db.
I suspect that there is a general problem with DLM because two of my referral users are also showing SNR margins of 12db or higher.
Can you shed any light on this?

My experience on 20CN is that it work slowly but on 21CN it doesn't work at all

Re: DLM not working? My SNR Margin is stuck at 12db

Hi Oldjim,
I suspect that whatever software (upgrades) applied to the 21CN have also been applied to the 20CN around 6 months ago. Perhaps this is in preparation for the switch over to 21CN.
I am certain that the behaviour changed some time i the last year because I used to get sync speeds > 7Mbps.  Cry

Re: DLM not working? My SNR Margin is stuck at 12db

HI Wheel_nut,
After resetting it last time I think there would be little point doing it again. It can take a while for the SNR to come down. At this point, I would suggest raising a fault though.

Hi Wheel_nut,
At what point do you get that message because I just got to the page where I could type my question. Was it at that point or when you tried to submit it?
