D/load speed still wrong

Re-booted my Router 5 days ago,readings as follows.....ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2368 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 56 db 15.5 db
Noise Margin 12 db 21 db
BT speed test........ Download speedachieved during the test was - 204 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 400-2000 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :2368 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2000 Kbps
Plusnet speed test.......

Are you connected to the router by wire or wireless

It is just possible that your wireless signal is a bit corrupted - like someone else on the same band.
Is it possible to check when wired

Netgear W/less signal is good, I don't think checking by connecting the ethernet cable direct is likely to make any difference.  Please see my earlier thread on 2/11/09 (download speed pathetic )

No Jim ,after re-booting my router I have been waiting for BT to rase my line profile,only got around to checking today.

Unless you are seeing a very large number of errors on the line I have no idea what is causing it

Thanks anyway Jim.I'll have to further investigate at this end .    1 question Jim  any idea why the BT and Plusnet results don't tally?

They use different speed test algorithms and in general the BT one is the more flakey
