D-Link DSL-2640B?

Hii
I was just wondering if PlusNet suply the D-Link DSL-2640B router?
As when i signed up my netgear DG834G was holding up ok, it still is but its pretty old (2 or 3 years, on 24/7) and i have a feeling its the cause of some strange things happening on my line.
Is there anyway that in the next couple of weeks i could request the D-Link DSL-2640B off plusnet and agree to stay with them for 12 or so months unless i bought it? If so a link would be much appreiciated because i cant find it anywhere. Sad
Thanks! Smiley

Hi Skylit,
I wouldn't have any issues with that arrangement.
Drop me a PM to confirm and I'll sort it out for you.

Hiya,
A week or two is absolutely fine, and yes the P&P is £6.99.

Re: D-Link DSL-2640B?

Hi James,
Are you now supplying the same 4 Port Wireless Router for all Options?
I have a referral who may sign up to Option 1 as soon as he can extract a MAC from Tiscali. He is prepared to accept that he will have to pay for the Router if he leaves within 12 months.
p.s. The reason for dithering is that like me, what he wants is BBYW Pro Lite. His usage is around 1GB per month but he is even more impatient than I am! Any update on Pro Lite?

No update I'm afraid.
We don't currently offer wireless routers on option 1.  We can do so for a nominal charge of £25 however.

Why get trapped in to a 12 month contract?
I have just brought an other speedtouch 716wl 4 ports wireless adsl2+ and voip ports (useful if you get free voip min) price came out at less then £8inc p&p +3 month warranty
Plusnet used to sell them in the old days so they are good just not bang up to date but for less than £10 what do you expect

I have fitted 4 of them for mates  last month

Re: D-Link DSL-2640B?

Has anyone had any issues with the parcel tracking numbers from plusnet?
I keep putting the code that i recieved into royal mail track and trace but the code isnt in the format that royal mail track and trace requires, weirdddd.

Yep, it's a ParcelForce tracking number, rather than RoyalMail itself.

Re: D-Link DSL-2640B?

Perfect arrived within 24 hours!
Set it up in no time at all, looks pretty, and runs alot better then my old netgear.
Iv lost a bit of sync (about 1200kbps) and increased attenuation by a dB not to bothered really, but iv noticed my SnR margin is High, is it possible to put this back to 6dB? ill show you a screenie of my stats at the moment Smiley

Thanks PlusNet Cheesy
