Whatever cable you buy make sure it is rated as Cat 5e or better. If it doesn't say steer clear.
You could also look on Amazon as there's plenty available on there at very good prices.

Be careful with cheap cable clips from Amazon - the ones I got didn't have hardened nails so didn't go into brick.
If they are just going into plaster/wood then cheap ones of the right size from Amazon will do

I wouldn't touch that last Amazon one, there's a review there that said the one he was sent wasn't Cat5e it was just Cat5, don't trust suppliers that do that. Watch your postage if getting clips from a separate supplier. Might end up being cheaper to get clips from a DIY shed.

Yes long Ethernet cables can cause problems if either it's not Cat 5e or it's more than 100m long. Unless you live in a mansion you won't have problems!

For what little extra it would cost I might be inclined to go for CAT 6 snagless - that future proofs you up to gigabit.
