Contract renewal Then upgrade to full fibre

I have 3 months left on my fibre broadband contract. I've been told full fibre will be available in my exchange before Dec 2026.

If I renew my contract with Plusnet for 2 years then when full fibre is available upgrade am I tied in only for the remainder of the 24 months or does the upgrade come with a new 24-month contract
