Contract coming to an end

Can someone please tell me do I need to tell plusnet I don't want to renew my contract. My 18 months contract is expiring on the 27th but plusnet are saying my next payment is due in march. Do they continue the contract or do I need to tell them I don't want it anymore? Thank you in advance for any information. I've tried phoning them but gave up after being on hold for ages.

Re: Contract coming to an end

@vikki1000 Do you mean you want to cancel your contract with Plusnet, or do you mean you are moving to another provider?

If you do not renegotiate your contract, you will be on a one-month rolling contract -i.e. you can end it giving 30 days notice.

Re: Contract coming to an end

OK, in that case, apply to your new ISP and they will handle everything for you - moves to another supplier are 'gaining supplier lead', in other words whoever you move to arranges the move. I would suggest you don't tell PN, but arrange for your new supplier to take over as soon as possible after your contract end date.

If they fail to do so, you will still be on a rolling contract with Plusnet.

Check with the leaving team for your costs though - I can't advise on that.
