Connection very flaky since yesterday morning, any ideas?

Hey guys,
After having no issues at all with my connection yesterday morning things started acting up and have been the same since. At first I wondered if there was a problem with the line but then I noticed I seem to be getting repeated FIREWALL events plus last night the CHAP authentication was failing.
Woke up this morning and that seems to be OK but still getting these FIREWALL events that seem to be bringing down the link and the line doesn't look too great either. Any ideas?

I don't think the firewall entries have anything to do with the problem. Probably a line fault, or maybe something gone wrong in the exchange - you don't get more than 448k upload on 20CN ADSL1 unless you pay extra for Max Premium, yet your stats say 640. You were definitely right to raise a fault, in fact I can see that our tests have picked up on a line issue so we should hopefully have some feedback on that for you soon.

Brilliant thanks, just this minute got back online (albeit with a low IP Profile ATM). I surmised the fault was with the line and the BT Engineer has been out today to fix the fault.

I assume that's as a result of you asking them to come out for an issue to do with your phone service as I can't see that we've booked an engineer.
Keep us posted, we'll get on the case if there's any further problems with your connection.

Yeah, I booked the BT engineer as the noise on the line was getting worse and worse. Everything seems stable now, just waiting for the IP profile to pick back up in the next few days and we should be as good as new Smiley
