Connection to sky on demand using tg582n

Hi.. I've been with plusnet for a few years now and had no problems until I change my router from an old netgear to a new technicolor tg582n router and now I  am unable to get on demand on my sky... Connection to router is ok but connection to on demand says fail the router is running 10.2.2 firmware... Sky is running through anEthernet cable and all other devices are using wifi which are working fine...anyone help
Thanks steve Cry

Re: Connection to sky on demand using tg582n

How does the Sky box get it's IP address? Netgear uses (by default) 192.168.0.n whereas the Plusnet router uses 192.168.1.n - if you have the Sky box configured with a specific IP address, either change it to obtain automatically, or give it an IP address outwith the DHCP range of the Plusnet router, so from 192.168.1.1 up to 192.168.1.63.
Another option would be to change the default range in the Plusnet router to match the old one, so changing the router IP address from 192.168.1.254 to 192.168.0.1, although doing this will cause any connected devices to have to reconnect.

I have the same, using the wifi box they sent out free.
All i done was set a static IP on the sky box.  Smiley

a static IP is not a requirement though, will work perfectly fine on DHCP.
