Connection speed down following disconnection

Hello,
Earlier this morning my phone line went dead taking down my broadband. I'm not sure for how long or the exact cause though Kelly Communications were nearby so maybe they had something to do with this?
Anyway, the phone line came back up and the router eventually reconnected, however my connection speed that was at over 70Mbps for eons is now stuck at 53Mbps.
From the router;
Line state: | Connected |
Connection time: | 0 days, 01:43:49 |
Downstream: | 53.34 Mbps |
Upstream: | 9.654 Mbps |
So, my question is, will this recover on its own over the next few days or are there further steps that I have to take?

BT have been and sorted out the copper line fault, my connection is now all back to normal.

Phone supplied by BT, broadband by Plusnet ... you must be on a legacy contract way outside your minimum term and paying over the odds for it. Have you looked at the full phone and broadband rates from Plusnet?
Contact Customer Options Team (aka COTS)
COTs is the place to go to if you want to find out anything to do with your contract in respect of leaving, renewing or simply enquiring about early termination charges (ETCs). They have their own number and tend to answer quicker than the general customer service number.
