Desktop PC, XP, Zyxel router.
After an hour or so of of no use I am unable to logon to web sites, Usenet or E mail. I can connect to the router and the diagnostics are AOK.
I reboot and all is well so it is an inconvenience rather than a disaster.
Any ideas please?

Give me a minute and I'll get some tests done on your line.

From this end, your connection is looking rather intermittent with a number of short connections. This is suggesting that your router is losing synchronisation with the BT Exchange. Some things to try:
- Ensure your router is connected to the master socket via a filter.
- Try changing your filter
- Ensuring that all of your sockets are filtered.
- Try borrowing a friends modem or router if this is possible.
Let me know how you get on.
