Connection issues

Having finally managed to get interleaving turned off, in the process I have been left with a 12db SNR which has caused quite a large drop in sync speed (over 5 meg drop).

How easy is it to get the 3db profile restored which the line was happy running on since December 2015?

Re: Connection issues

I've submitted a request to put your SNR to 3db, with interleaving still off. This should happen in the next hour or so.

Re: Connection issues

And sadly its gone back up to 9db once again,  can anyone prod it back to 3db where the line ran happily for 9 months till a random BT order placed on the line changed it.

Re: Connection issues

What's the point? If it's gone back up there is obviously something amiss and it will just do it again. You need to track down what is causing the errors that make the DLM raise the target.

Re: Connection issues

If the line was dropping all the time I could see your point, but AFAIK for the last 3 weeks there has only been 2 line drops when the SNR was changed up the line has been stable and I don't see any errors here.  This only started happening after a BT order by plusnet that completed 20th August that stated they were transferring me to the 21CN network whilst I was already on it.

As this issue is still ongoing I have removed the fix.

Re: Connection issues

So what are the current ADSL stats? It seems unlikely for there to be zero errors on a line running at 3dB with no interleaving, unless perhaps the line is incredibly short.

Re: Connection issues

My reply before should have said many errors.

There are errors on the upstream.  There is usually some errors showing on the down and up, not high numbers showing usually though.  Only thing I can think off is unless there is a sudden burst of errors that is causing DLM to change the SNR but I thought the connection would be dropping before the SNR change, not just when the SNR changes

Downstream

SNR - 9.1

Att - 11

Output Power - 18.8

Sync 18363

HEC Errors - 0

OCD Errors - 0

LCD Errors - 0

Total ES - 0

Total SES - 0

UAS - 0

Upstream

Re: Connection issues

That shows that this is a very short line, with hardly any errors showing in those stats. What modem/router are you using?
