Connection is great!! But just a few things niggling me..

I know its nearly 7am running these tests but i'm well impressed so far being with plusnet (2 days now heh)

This is the most stable connection i've ever had. (im on gaming package btw) I was just wondering is there any possible way to increase upload speed? (I used to have 832k+ upstream on idnet) Also my download seems capped at 6.5meg, even though I know my line can take over 7.5, is there a reason why its capped at the 6.5? Just wondering.

You can increase your upload by getting the max premium which also gives you elevated priority across the BT network too.
As for your line speed if you post your router stats people will be able to offer any ideas, one thought is were you on ADSL2 idnet?

Sadly I can't get ADSL2 no, im on 20cn. My Exchange is 'MYPIC' on IDNET I was using their Home SuperMax package linked here: http://www.idnet.net/solutions/home/broadband/default-adsl.jsp
So I know my line can take more, just wondering if Plusnet can upgrade it even further?

Just ran another test now seems good

Anyone ideas on the upload? I mainly host a gaming server from my connection and upstream is an issue for me.

Hi Andy,
Welcome to PN and the Forum. I'm guessing you're migrated in, so your line shouldn't be in a 10 day training period.
With those stats I'm guessing that you may have a flat above the exchange
Run the BT speedtester http://www.speedtester.bt.com/ to see what your BT profile is, and check at the member centre (login required) what your Data/Line rate is there https://portal.plus.net/my.html?action=data_transfer_speed . They should both be 7150. This is the maximum DS speed on an ADSL package.
As adiewoo has mentioned there is Max.premium which is £7.83 pm. extra.

I believe there is a one off charge of £14.99 to add this, and the same charge if later you want to remove it.
However, your exchange VP status is red at the moment http://usertools.plus.net/exchanges/?exchange=Pickering&exact=1999&plugin=vp so you are going to get throughput issues at peak times compounded by the current Network issue, so you may want to hold off on that (unless desperate) until both are fixed.

Just ordered this upgrade, I never even knew about it until these forums. Thought I was on the best package I could get already!
It says it will be added to my account within a day, yet the question average answer time was about 65 hours, which is right ?
I live about 150m in a straight line from my exchange so pretty close yes. The BT test site requires a Service ID? Which I don't have so can't run the test.

You get double upload speed and uplifted priority on the BT bits of the network. I like it

Can you tell me if this is just an add on to my normal package?  (pro)  As i have rung up to ask it to be added to my account only to have the 'advisor' trying to change my package to unlimited or something .  I want to be on pro for gaming

Yes it's an add on for any (20CN) ADSL package, no need to change.

i can echo adiewoo's opion of max preminum, if i was back on 20cn i wouldnt run with it out and i do miss the 20:1 contention ratio you get with it. it some how justs made everything abit snappier
