Connection drops, very slow speed, no response to ticket yet

Over the last few weeks I've been suffering multiple connection drops and my download speed has dropped to a measley 0.2 Mbps! I can only use the internet for the most basic things, such as posting on a forum, anything more complicated and is chugs to a halt. Raised a ticket at the start of the week which I am waiting on a response to, previous tickets raised and I got told there was no issue! Bought new router, tested in master socket, test socket and checked my phone on the quiet line test. I recently paid to upgrade to fibre so I can stream in HD and get ps4 updates quicker and I'm starting to wonder if that was a mistake because if I can't get above 0.2 on standard what are the hopes it can cope with anymore?

The line is dropping a lot, this is going to be impacting the speed. We need to focus on the dropping connection and the speeds should follow.

Looking at that, the connection problems start roughly the same time most days, around 7am -10am and then continuing until around midnight.

Do you normally connect in to an extension socket or is it the master socket you use?
Switching to the test socket won't show an instant improvement on speedtests, we really need to test the line and leave it in the test socket for a good period of time to see how it performs.
The line stats at the moment aren't showing me anything to be too concerned with:
SNR is 6db
Sync (down) is 17156
I'm going to try and give some more stability by increasing the SNR to 9db and let's see how that goes. If it continues to cause issues let us know by getting back on here or the fault ticket.
The upload speed is still capped, but we can look at that once the dropping connection is resolved.

Always in master socket. Whatever action has been taken seems to be working, I'm able to stream films and play games online again and test shown around 8mbps now. Hasn't dropped since early this morning either.

Didn't notice a drop in connection but my speed is back down to under 0.2 Mbps after being good since this morning letting me stream and play games without any problems. Was nice while it lasted lol. I've had the router connected via the test socket since yesterday so hopefully its sending some useful data. Maybe my speed got busted down again because of all the old drops and hasn't yet had time to get its rep back up again? On a side note does my new router for fibre get delivered before the engineer appointment?

We're still seeing some connection drops, again during the daytime. Your line is synced again at 4400(roughly) so your profile on our side should be at 4000. Can you log in to the router and disconnect/reconnect once and see what the speeds are like?

I've done that and speed has gone up from 0.17 Mbps to 3.8 Mbps 🙂 
Hopefully it stabilises a bit and stays about there.

I can see you responded to the fault ticket, that's back with our faults team who'll do some more diagnostics to see what's happening.

Speed seems to be holding at a not great but very usable 3-4Mbps, but I have noticed several disconnects in the last half hour each of which seem to have been prompted by a '(386733.810000) PPP LCP Send Termination Request [User request] '- request. Is this down to tests being run or is this what has been causing my problem? I'm nowhere near as tech savvy as I used to be in the olden days lol

Is the phone line quiet?  Dial 17070 option 2 - do it frequently.
have you noticed any correlation between line drops and the use of the phone?

Done the quiet test a couple of times but it's always been silent, although there is sometimes a slight crackle when I pick up to start a call it disappears before I finish dialling. I don't use landline much so only get one or two calls a month on it so I've ruled that out. Getting a fibre package fitted later this week so hopefully whatevers been causing the issue goes when that gets fitted.
