Connection dropping constantly

Hi
Yesterday my connection started dropping/reconnecting constantly and I have just noticed an update to the ticket that interleaving is going to be turned on to try and resolve the issue. The update also states that this may raise ping times and cause gaming issues.
My connection has been fine for almost a year so surely something must have been broken/changed to be affecting my connection as opposed to it just randomly starting to fail?
If interleaving resolves the issue will it have to be left on permanently?

Yes...unless the source of the disconnections can be traced and rectified.
Is your router plugged into a phone extension?

Nope always been in the master socket and is currently in the test socket and still dropping... although it seemed to be more stable later in the evening yesterday it got worse again this morning

Yeah, as above, raised a ticket yesterday the latest status of which is to have interleaving turned on.

I had wondered that if interleaving was found to cure the disconnects if it would be seen as the solution rather than getting to the route cause

Sorry if this has been asked before but how will I know when interleaving has been turned on for my connection?

Thanks Jojo, will have a look tonight and see if my connection is still dropping all the time.
If it's found to have stabalised does interleaving get left on whilst the actual fault is identified or will that be it?

Yeah interleaving will stay on as long as necessary.
