Connection down..

As of around 2am my connection has been dead, service status shows fine other than vmbu stuff, line is synced, just no net connection at all, even after multiple router reboots, posting from my phone right now hoping that someone is around that can look into this!

Nope, only line that isn't standard just states "LCP: timeout sending config-requests" then connection terminated.

Connection currently back active as of 02:51 UTC.
No changes were made at my end, so whatever caused this to start with and whatever the fix was is out of my control.
Will await official Plusnet response.

2am is usually around when BT do their network maintenance. Are you in any of the areas listed in the service status post on Monday?

I see no list on the service status page either on the overall view or the broadband specific subsection.

Well there's always a possibility that you were indirectly affected. Anyway my best bet would be BT works but we'll see once DCT arrives and fills you in for certain.

It seems the you were affected by the maintenance, there are also a number of smaller exchange that have planned maintenance that are not published in our service status.

At least now I know why the disconnect happened, though if there's a list of exchanges that *are* going to be affected by things like this do you not think it pertinent to make that list available rather than just covering the major exchanges, surely if you know about this in advance it saves you having to answer questions like these?
Would have saved me from losing sleep if nothing else.

Sunday 21st July, 7am.
I briefly lost my BB for around 10 minutes this morning.
I checked the fault line, 0800 917 6714, nothing mentioned.
I can see nothing specific on my Plusnet Service Status emails, nor Service Status Page.
Whilst phoning in, I rebooted my router, still no BB.
Then a few minutes later, BB working normally again.
Didn't need to speak to PN.
Presumably BT doing a bit of early Sunday Morning Maintenance.

Unfortunately there was a pipe drop (unannounced), but things came back online again pretty much straight away so shouldn't have caused any major issues. Hope that's the case?
