Definitely swap filters, and definitely test from the master socket with everything else unplugged from the line - although your best bet would be to raise it to us through http://faults.plus.net as that'll take you through all the necessary tests we need and will drop the ticket out to our faults team after testing so they can get it raised for you
Sorry to hear the line is dropping though.

Thanks for your reply I really don't want to play around with my broadband because there are times when I have no problems at all I seem to be free of loss of connection in the evenings Ihave no test socket so I just wondered if it could be outside intervention beyond my control.

First thing to check is your phone line, any noise and it needs fixed as that will drop your connection. dial 17070 option 2 and listen for a while, any crackling/hissing then report a noise fault with who ever provides your landline

Hi valart,
I can see that you have raised a fault, but also closed the fault. I would suggest raising a fault again at http://faults.plus.net.
Below is a log of your connection.
<img src="http://ccgi.psmith12.plus.com/visradius/generated/image13472699455075.png" />
As you can see your connection appears to be disconnecting every 30 minutes.
Do you have another router you can try?
Chris

I suggest rather than changing router he should change the idle timeout from 30 minutes to 0 (never)!
