Connecting through BT Home Hub 4

I'm having real trouble connecting through the BT Home Hub 4 router.
I am able to reach the screen where I need to enter my username and password, but some kind of automatic refresh of the page keeps resetting it to the example 'bthomehub@btbroadband.com' username before I am even able to enter my username and password! Has anyone experienced this before?
Any help apprecaited.
