Connected today ..a question?

Hello Plusneters ( I made that one up ), maybe Plusneteers is better  ::)...OK sorry, back to my question.
I migrated from a Ipstream 2000 connection. Do I go on to the rate adaptive service by default or do I have to specifically request it?
Either way..how do you tell which connection you have.
I use a Netgear DG834GT modem router..it gives a connection speed of 2272 kbps but never seems to change which I would have expected on a rate adaptive service.
Any help appreciated.

You're actually on a fixed rate 2Mbps product.  Would you like me to place an order to upgrade you to the upto 8Mbps service?

Yes, I would like an order placed for up to 8Mbps service.
I was under the impression that it was automatic upon migration so the forum has already proved very useful..I think I might like it here.

Not a problem at all.
I've placed the order and it should complete tomorrow in the early hours.  May also be an idea to turn off your modem or router before you go to bed to gain optimal results in the morning.
