Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

I don't think it will be the Owl system causing the issue as it samples every 12 seconds, but to be absolutely certain - did you remove the the part that clips around the cable at the meter and take the batteries out of both units at the same time?

It's not connected and the batteries have been removed. No change in blips

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

Well at least that's definitely eliminated that. Do you have Energy Company supplied smart metering at all - that's another area worth exploring. If you do, any brand names, model numbers & etc on the meters could be useful. I'm trying to think of anything that might do things at regular intervals, but especially at this longer periodicity.

No smart meter. Water heating is on an electric timer but have eliminated that.
We have some underfloor electric heating too but it's not that either - only turned it on 2 days ago.
Curious that on odd occasions the blips have been around 13 mins apart when the 'norm' is 8 mins.

Are you on a fixed IP address? I don't remember.

Re: Connected to gateway but not dns server

Then because your PPP session dropped probably due to Backhaul/Network maintenance (unless you had a loss of sync) your IP address will have changed and the one you had is now being used by someone else. You need to go to your BQM and disable it (if you want to keep existing graphs for now) or delete it, and create a new one.
