Concentrator not reachable

At ~18:00 this evening, I lost my PPP connection.  The FTTC VDSL link remained up.  Attempts to reconnect manually failed 'Concentrator not reachable' every time.
After half-an-hour of trying, I decided to power down the VDSL modem.  I then left it for 1 hr before powering it back up again, so as not to upset DLM on the connection, and the issue has cleared.
Has there been some network outage affecting WSWESTERN exchange, or can anyone offer a rational explanation for this failure?  Sad

Re: Concentrator not reachable

Hi,
We're not aware of any issues in that area. I can see a couple of other connection drops that occurred yesterday evening but not to a high degree:

I'd keep an eye on things over the coming days and just let us know if you want to see a Radius graph again in say a few days time.

Thanks Adam, particularly for the Radius graph.
The first (longer) drop yesterday evening is explained above in the original post. The modem was powered off in an attempt to recover the situation without upsetting DLM (any further).
The other two later, were caused by applying the Demo 10.2.5.2 firmware to the TG582n, and later reverting to 8.C.M.0.  The VDSL link was unaffected by either, and remained up the whole time.  Just the PPP connection that was dropped as the router rebooted.  Smiley
The long one last Friday was occasioned by an otherwise unexplicable drop in SNRm accompanying a burst in CRC errors and bitswapping, although the VDSL link remained up.  It was powered off for a period so as not to upset DLM, before powering on again to regain normal service.
So, what is the actual meaning of Concentrator not reachable then (apart from the obvious)?  It was (and still is)  bras-red14.gw-th-B226E1811E036P
[Edit] What is causing the PPP connection to be renewed during the long periods of VDLS2 link uptime?  Is there some sort of PPP timeout in the router, because they have nothing to do with me?
