Re: Comcast bouncing again.

Hi there,
That's possibly a result of some maintenance work we did this evening to resolve the delays sending mail. More info on that here.
I've flagged it up internally for our network engineers to resolve.

Re: Comcast bouncing again.

When I saw the service status I wondered if this was going to happen. Sad

Re: Comcast bouncing again.

We understood it was a risk before the work was carried out jelv but we thought it more favourable than widespread delays that would have affected everybody.

Re: Comcast bouncing again.

I suggest that Service Status should have said you were rolling back the previous change and noted the risk. Given how frequently you were being blocked prior to the change it wasn't a risk, it was a strong possibility.

I purposely made the post ambiguous. I know it's unlikely to be taken advantage of by anyone following Service Status but I didn't really want to broadcast the fact that we'd removed outbound filtering.
We're waiting to hear back from IronPort today to see what we can do to get things reverted back to how they were a few days ago.

I didn't actually realise that the change was a roll-back of the previous work.
As it happens PUG were firmly against the original work which was itself a knee-jerk, last-minute, massive change to the mail platform - without any testing whatsoever.  But alas our views were completely disregarded.

I hope I'm not tempting fate but Comcast is back to normal again.

Re: Comcast bouncing again.

Outbound mail is going via the IronPorts again so we should be off the vast majority of blacklists.
