Chap authentication failed

Hello, can't connect to the Internet. Tried my own Netgear and the plus net Thompson router both give me an authentication error. Tried the BT test socket as well same result. I've double and triple checked my login details are correct so I don't know what to do now.

Right as I posted this from my phone it connected, but my Internet still doesn't actually work. Router says it's connected ok, windows network icon doesn't have a yellow exclamation mark any more, but nothing loads in any Web browser.
Tried changing between a plus net dns and Google dns and nothing works with either. Can't ping anything outside my network can't ping either dns server.

edit sigh back to square one router says authentication failed

Try logging in to the members centre as it uses the same password. You could try the forgotten password option, but you might need a non plus net email address registered  to receive the message.

Can log in there fine with the same pw that's in the router.
username@plusdsl.net is the correct login format for the router right?

That is the correct format. As to why it's not working is odd, you could try phoning support.

I'd give them a call, support will be able to go over a few things with you on the phone.

Simon sorted it!
Don't know what went wrong but he fixed whatever it was over the phone. I didn't realise the phones were open this later I'll ring them first if something happens again.
