Changed over from Sky, still no service

So I changed over from Sky on Wednesday, got the email to say it had been successful, and nothing!
Had an engineer today (Friday) and he said there’s no dial tone on the line.
What else could it be? And why did Sky Broadband work just fine and now Plusnet doesn’t?

And what did the engineer do about it? Sounds like nothing at all.☹️

So he did physical checks on the line and router, but said there was nothing on the line, meaning it more than likely hasn’t been changed over.

Changing from a Sky LLU involves moving wires in the telephone exchange. It sounds likely that this task has not been completed or screwed up. I can imagine that there's some 'jobsworth' involved with both Sky and BT technicians required to do the handover.

This is what I thought, a little annoyed as I’ve been without broadband since Wednesday now.
