Hi, a little over a week ago I had trouble with my exchange well lots of exchanges had problems in the northwest lost internet for a few nights and slow speeds etc. Since its been repaired my download speed seems to be capped at 2 & 1/2 meg I used to have nearly 6 meg. I've been waiting hoping it would go back up for a few days but decided to post here to see if I could get any help before I phone up.
Download speedachieved during the test was - 2148 Kbps
For your connection, the acceptable range of speeds is 600-7150 Kbps.
Additional Information:
Your DSL Connection Rate :3392 Kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 Kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP Profile for your line is - 2500 Kbps
IP profile really should be higher than that, When I reboot the router I sync at 6000 - 7000 for about 5mins ish then it drops to 3392.
Any help would be appreciated it I miss that 2 and a half meg

That is your fundamental problem. It's quite unusual to get a good result for a short while then a big drop. Do you have another router you could try instead?

I used to sync at 6000 - 7000 before the exchange problem when I had 5 meg download speed.

And you still do, but only for five minutes after you reboot the router

The equipment in the phone exchange has a long memory. If your sync rate halves after five minutes it will remember that and you'll never see 5 meg download speed, not even for your first five minutes of use. So you need to find out what is causing that problem, stop it happening and then wait a while for things to recover.

Hi Lemsip,
After running a line test I see you have a very high SNR (currently 20.5dB) which will be keeping your sync rate and profile down as well as errors. I would suggest first of all having a look at our slow speed help guide and once you have completed the check you can then raise a fault if you don't find anything untoward.
