Greetings
I have more or less exactly the same problem. I cannot access https://systmonline.tpp-uk.com/ It’s important because it’s the GP system for repeat prescriptions and appointments.
It just freezes on the linking page or blank in a new tab. It used to work up to a couple of weeks ago.
Router: Netgear DGN2200
Same on any device / OS / browser.
I’ve tried changing DNS from “Get Automatically from ISP” to…
212.159.13.49 / 50
8.8.4.4 / 8.8.8.8
208.67.222.222 / 208.67.220.220
Systmonline works through phone mobile data (wifi off) through Vodafone Suresignal
Curiously enough through house router. Not ideal because it’s a small screen.
It works next door and they’re on TalkTalk (spit!)
I tried changing the router’s MAC but got the same IP address.
Why? Why? Why? Why!

To be honest, I'm not sure anymore if it is actually PlusNet. It seems strange to only really affect that particular site. Surely, if it was a PN issue, it would happen with more sites, not just the TPP site. It may be that the PN IP addy is 'showing' as being outside of the UK. When I'm in the US, I have to lift a VPN to be able to get there.

It is definitely not a Plusnet problem but systmonline using out of date data.

Still not working for me on my current (same) IP address.
Works fine using another (London) IP address or mobile phone SIM.
Glad to see that other people are having exactly the same problem and that we are finally getting to the bottom ot it.
This confirms that systmonline is blocking some PlusNet IP addresses for whatever reason.

You could spend £5 and transfer to a fixed Plusnet IP address. These come from a different pool and as far as I know have never given any geolocation problems.

Thanks Baldrick
I will consider static IP since it's a fiver just once.
Here's the reply to my query with TPP.
"Good morning,
Please be advised that if your IP is showing as USA, you will not be able to access SystmOnline as it will think you are abroad. This is a setting that should be resolved by Plusnet themselves.
Kind regards,
TPP

So TPP and plusnet are both blaming each other for this issue.

I can understand where TPP are coming from, I'm assuming they (TPP) have a minor security consideration when you bear in mind the data they have access to (medical notes etc.) and I suppose it's just another way to stop hackers from accessing your data. Do you really want outsiders to have access to your mednotes? TPP are correct in that if your IP is showing as outside of the UK, it was PlusNet that gave it to you, therefore it needs to be PN that allocate you a new one. Data protection is a huge concern and the penalties for screwing it up are huge! So, put in TPP's position, I'd do exactly the same, I would nail it down as tight as I could. I know it's annoying that you can't always access it via PN but if you can get it on your phone, where's the problem? Obviously for people that only have the PN route to connect, that is a bigger issue but security wins every time for me.

Hi all,
Can you confirm what your external IP address is when you can't access that site?
I.e. go to the site, if you get blocked, go to https://www.whatismyip.com/ and let us know what it says your Public IPv4 is.

Yes. Once we know the range that is wrong on their side, we can try and reach out and get them to correct (but we are reliant on them). There are some other things we might be able to do , but that's depending on the size of the range being incorrectly geolocated as well.

Hi Kelly
I don't normally have an issue unless I'm in the US when I have to use a VPN back to my router at home in Norwich.

No problem, is it right Kelly, that a fixed IP is a one off £5.00?

If you get a static IP that was originally issued in the UK then that will be the end of the matter.
It needs to be realised that as Plusnet expands so it needs more IP addresses. Many of these are coming from abroad. If you use a standard dynamic service your IP address will vary. If you happen to pick up one that came from overseas it is a gamble as to whether you will have a problem. The reason is that organisations use their own service to see where your IP originates. If that service has not been updated when the IP address was transferred to Plusnet then these problems occur. Yes
@adrianscotter, Plusnet issued the IP address but to get the scale of the problem look here https://community.plus.net/t5/Plusnet-Feedback/IP-addresses-not-UK-Can-customers-please-report-any-p....
