Cannot access forums

Hi when i try to access some forums i get this error message
'
Sorry, but the administrator has blocked access from proxies. Other causes of this error include using an intranet (school connections), a cell phone, or using a browser that does not support compression or does not accept encoding'
This mainly happens on thetechgame.com
Im not on a cell phone, or on an intranet and i dont think i have a proxy on but im not sure how to check. I've also tried getting on them with firefox, chrome and internet explorer and i get the same error

Any help will be appreciated

Patience, it takes time to look at lots of posts, and welcome to the Forums.
Check which Gateway you are on , and post the first part of your current IP address ie 87.115.xxx.xxx
Then Gateway hop, assuming you have the TG582n, log in to your modem/router and go to the Internet Box as shown here and click Disconnect. This drops the PPP session to Plusnet (not the sync). Wait about 30 seconds and then Click Connect.
Then check which Gateway you are on now, hopefully another, and check you have a new IP address in a different range. Check you particular forum access again, and then post the first part of that new IP address. For some reason which Plusnet may be able to get resolved, your forum isn't recognising your IP address as being a UK address belonging to Plusnet.

Your IP address is allocated to Plusnet so that is unlikely to be the cause however it is just possible that you have picked up a trojan
Which internet security package are you using

Jim, several times we have come across instances where a web site doesn't recognise the IP address as being allocated to Plusnet So that is the first thing he should check and then Gateway hop to change it.

Hi ive just checked to see if i have a proxy on http://whatismyipaddress.com/proxy-check and it says proxy server not detected i will try disconnecting and connecting now, i will let you know what happens

Click on the "how do I disinfect" link to expand, download TSSDKiller and run it - see if it finds any nasties.
