While it might be connected to a different issue I'm experiencing: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,103927.0.html
I thought I'd post my experience of the BT speediest from last night.
The first test I did at 22:29 showed my upload speed was higher than the upstream profile:
Is this possible?
Then an hour later, and an hour after that, both times the speedtest failed to complete, giving an HTTP Status 500 error:
(see attached for a screen shot)
There must be a better way to collect data to send to Plusnet (and BT) to help track down errors...

http://test.speedtester.bt.com/
Seems to be dead for me and has been for a number of days now.
Found an alternative BT tester that "worked" but the results weren't believable. At least it gave the profile which is something, just.

The incorrect link restores "reasonable looking" results - it's a better link that the correct one.

Yes that's good its started working again.
As to where I got that link - from Kitz .
That link always seems to give more consistent and stable results.

I don't see how that could be given that:

Address: 4.2.2.3
Non-authoritative answer:

The fact that they resolve to the same IP address proves nothing, they could still be running completely different services. However, in this case, they look and behave the same to me.

Just noticed today that the BT Above 24Mbps Beta tester now shows upload speed test and Ping Latency figures whereas yesterday it only gave download information.
