Can this be right

For the past few days I have checked my D/L speeds and they have shown this, but my profile shown on the BTW diagnostic is 3.44

Doubtful, but we really need the stats from your router.

The white box at the top says there are technical problems and it might not display correct results Smiley

I find my free SamKnows broadband network box gives me the most consistent broadband performance monitoring.

Re: Can this be right

I find http://speedtest.net does give a consistent approximation, but tends to give a result of the fastest burst during the test, rather than the true sustainable download rate - the latter being more applicable to Robert trying to watch his smart-TV that requires >3Mbps bandwidth for streaming.

Re: Can this be right

Hmm, that's not great. Is that definitely the IP of your router?
To check, click on Start then type cmd into the search box at the bottom of the start menu. Then double click the 'command prompt' option that should be at the top of the search results, this should open a small black window with white text and a flashing cursor. Click on that, and type 'ipconfig' (without quotes) then hit enter.
Some text should pop up, you're looking for the IP address next to 'default gateway'. That'll be your router's IP, and is what you should type into the browser's address bar in order to log in to the router.
Hope that helps? Please let us know if the IP stated there is indeed 192.168.1.254 Smiley

I don't understand, how come you can't find an ethernet driver ?
The fact that you know that you need a driver suggests that you also know what driver you need.
What does Google say ?,
or even easier Windows Update > Advanced > Hardware ?,
or the ethernet card manufacturers website? ....

Re: Can this be right

Its all sorted now, it was not easy when PB support did no even recognize the PC I purchased two years ago, and on top of that they gave me two driver downloads that caused lots of problems AAAAAAGGGGGGGHHHHHH.

Re: Can this be right

Have you done a full "Windows Update" since installing the new driver ?,
as it would be worth checking everything is now up to date before proceeding.

So can you access your router now that your PC ethernet port is "all sorted" ?

That's reporting your correct speed, your stats look fine too.
