Can't connect PS3 to wireless

We just switched to Plusnet and we cannot connect the PS3 to the wireless. Phones, laptops etc are connecting fine.

I have been through the set up on PS3 many times - it can find the network but when you test the connection it times out without being able to obtain the IP address.

I have tried resetting the router, turning everything off and unplugging all devices, changing the broadcast channel for the wireless, inputting the IP address manually, turning off the media server on PS3....and various other things that I have been advised to do.

I don't know what else to try and am unable to set up a wired connection as we only have 1 phone port and it is too far away.

Any help or advice please? Step by step instructions appreciated!

Hi there,

As the PS3 is connecting to the network in the first place you'll be doing the right things. I would advise checking which WiFi channel you've used as some devices don't connect on channel 12 at all.

I am having this exact problem too , but don't understand about ch12.

Can you provide an idiots guide to fix?
