Can any one recommend a Downloader Manager?

I would like to know if any one can  any-one recommend a Downloader Manager?
On thursday I bought a game from Microids and it uses the free Download Manager but every time I try to download it I get (unable to resolve the server name) My problem is I do not know where to put the information.
Although Microids make some very good games there Customer Support is Rubbish.
Hope some one can help me.
Thank you Lizbee  Smiley

I use FreeDownloadManager.
It does what it says on the tin and very well, I think.

Re: Can any one recommend a Downloader Manager?

I've been using it for about a year without major issue.
Occasionally there has been a problem with Rapidshare but there is a workaround. Not at home now so can't remember the details.
What problems have you encountered?
Maybe I'll try one of the other recommendations.

Re: Can any one recommend a Downloader Manager?

Hi Mav
I have been trying to download since Thursday 7 May 2009, every time I tried to download it said can not find server.  I thought my firewall was stopping it.  After 50 + times trying to sort it out I admitted defeat Cry  .  I even emailed the company but I have had no reply. Smiley
I have so far only tried the one Colin gave me http://www.getright.com/ and the first thing it did was to tell me it had found the server and was downloading so I am pretty impressed with it so far, I know I will have to buy it at some time as it is not free, but they give you a chance to try it out before you buy and I don’t mind paying for some ones hard work.  I will try the one Mike gave me next and decide then which one to go for.

Firefox 3.n has a download scheduler built into the File Download panel. You can set a download time. Very simple. Smiley

Re: Can any one recommend a Downloader Manager?

Hi OJ,
When I go to a download site from the Firefox Browser and click on the Download button, I get a Popup Panel "Add Download" The panel has options to select the download destination etc. and in the bottom LHS corner, it has radio buttons to select "Scheduled download".
once setup, the download happens at the nominated time.
If you still can't find it, I will find out how to paste screen images and post again.

Edit: Added Screenshot of Add Download panel
I also checked my Add-ons in Firefox and I seem to have "Free Download Manager Plugin v1.3"

Unfortunately it doesn't work with 64 bit vista - good thought though
