Cables for fibre

Hi guys, I’m hopefully moving to the ultimate fibre package early next month, and I wanted to get organised with cables, currently I have white ones and I want order black ones to keep with the rest of my set up. I just wanted to check, what sort of cable I would need to buy for the router to the PC, that’s the only one that’s visible. I know its Ethernet however if there a special type or name or version I should get, thanks for any help.

Re: Cables for fibre

Shouldnt need any special ethernet wire. Should be CAT5 or CAT5e. Usually should of got a pair with your router but any cheap cable is fine.

Re: Cables for fibre

You only get 80Mbits on fibre (if you are lucky) and the LAN ports on your Plusnet router are only rated at 100Mbits.

You can actually get up to 330/30Mbit with fibre if you're really lucky.
