Buffalo WBMR-HP-GN & Interleaving reporting issues?

Anyone got this router and have it report Fast path when it should be reporting Interleaving?  Since getting DSL my connection has always been on Interleaving but today my router lost sync and on reconnection it now reports its on Fast path.
My pings haven't changed as you would expect going from Interleaving to Fastpath and I haven't asked for it to be changed or used the option on the  portal, 30ms on average on PN hops.  So wondering if this new router is a lemming.

Hi Gus,
Your downstream is set on interleaving but your upstream is fast path, so maybe this is what your router is picking up.

ok thanks Joanne, another black mark against this router.  It does the job as a DSL modem well enough but as a router badly.

• It can't have manual set DNS servers, it only uses the auto discovered no matter that settings you apply
  
• I can't seem to force it to connect on anything but ADSL2, G.DMT if set it just won't stick once it reboots and its back to ADSL2.
  
• Zero firmware updates by Bufflao and none planned after emailing them.
  
• Router logs being very basic at best as to faults/disconnections
  
• and now its web interface suddenly failing to report Interleaving for Down

I could make a few suggestions, mostly involving hammers
