I understand that a router will still sync whilst not in use by a few kb or mb, but is 58MB overnight usual. (I have not turned anything on that is connected to the router wired or wireless)

I'll see if I can find out any more about how that usage was categorised and let you know.
UPDATE: Where as 58mb can happen overnight on a connection that's "idling" it's a little on the high side. I wouldn't worry too much (unless it becomes a regular occurrence) I'm wondering though if you've used something like Bit torrent where the torrents have continued to track against your IP after you've gone offline?

The last time I used UTorrent was probably well over a week ago, If I need to d/load something its usually done via Newshosting.
