Broadband usage history query

Can one access detailed broadband usage for the month preceding the current month? If so, I can’t find the mechanism for doing this. Advice gratefully received.

Re: Broadband usage history query

I don't think that information has ever been available, and as of some point late last year, even current usage is not available if you on an unlimited package.

Depending on which gateway you are on.

Re: Broadband usage history query

Didn't know that, @Strat - all I know is I haven't seen anything since late October, but I am on the 'new' network, if that makes any difference.

Re: Broadband usage history query

I'm on the new network and was on gateway pcn-bng03

I hopped to gateway psb-bng02 and started getting usage records.

Re: Broadband usage history query

@Strat- thanks for that info, IF I change gateways, I'll see if mine start to appear, but I'm not that bothered - I log my own usuage anyway, just out of interest.

Re: Broadband usage history query

Despite being with PlusNet for a decade I remain a technical retard. Would you kindly answer these questions:

1  What is a gateway?

2  How do I find what gateway I'm on?

3  How do I change the gateway I'm on – assuming there are advantages in so doing?

Re: Broadband usage history query

  1. A gateway is the device that your router logins into so that you can have internet access. (Your router stores the your username/password for this to happen)
  2. You can find out your gateway at http://users.plus.net/@gateway/ (There are multiple ones to spread the load)
  3. Sometimes an individual gateway has issues so changing is
    1. Log onto your router
    2. In the status page, click on the disconnect button
    3. Wait a minute
    4. Click on the connect button
