Broadband usage - all on it's own

Interesting. Checked broadband usage and whilst away from home just a steady 120Mb a day being used.
Not much but had to find the reason why.
Only things plugged in and "On" were the freesat box - not sure what it does over internet but may have been checking for software updates and the newly installed Amazon Fire TV box, also in standby mode.
Everything else was switched off completely.
The power of the internet at work !

That's about right for hand-shake / keep alive traffic.
Are you running any connection performance monitors - e.g. pingers or think broadband quality monitors?

Nothing else running, just those two boxes were on / in standby.
Not concerned about it, just curious when you are not expecting it.
