Re: Broadband speed

Even with interleaving turned on (as you can see from above, the depth is extreme. It's usually at a depth of 32) I received 52000 CRC errors over a 15 minute period at 3:30pm today.

Re: Broadband speed

Interleaving does decrease the maximum sync speed available which I think probably explains the upload sync speed, but it doesn't explain why the upload speed test is so far below the upstream IP profile.
You've tried the test socket and a different filter, have you been able to try a different router?
I think you need to raise a fault for a dropping connection.

...or Spanish if it was "Cuatro" Smiley
It's looking pretty stable at present:

Do let us know if you start to see any more issues with that though.

Yep, its in the test socket now. I've tried a Billion 7800N and a 2Wire HGV2700-C

Re: Broadband speed

Hi, its stable at 3070. I have 4 open tickets, one of which is a complaint to your complaints department about the connection.

Re: Broadband speed

I've just realised after answering another one of your threads about this.
Do you want to see the complaint and the fault through now or just happy to monitor things and see if the line remains stable?

Re: Broadband speed

Thanks Adam, I look forward to hearing from them. If they ask, please tell them its already plugged into the test socket.

Re: Broadband speed

Hi,
I wish to see my complaint through. I should be connecting at 7775kbps, not 3040kbps. I believe this is actually very close to the fault threshold, or will you have to wait until it drops another 750kbps?

Re: Broadband speed

Three topics merged to assist staff in helping - they all seem to relate to the same underlying problem (whatever it is)

Sorry about that, but thanks for your help.

Re: Broadband speed

It won't change upwards from 3070 of its own volition. What is the noise margin at the moment?  If it is well above 6dB, a reconnection now should give more speed.

Re: Broadband speed

It's 5 db at the moment.
I expect to hear Plusnet say today that there is no fault with the line. They seem very keen to blame my wiring/property.

Re: Broadband speed

Looking back through this thread I don't see any reference to a BT Master socket with a removable lower faceplate
Do you have one and, if so, can you try connecting via the test socket and see how the line performs over night

Re: Broadband speed

Its already connected to the test socket, behind the removable lower faceplate.
